Channing Smith

I’m Channing Smith, a REALTOR® with Keller Williams Legacy Group and co-owner of Encompass Real Estate Group, based in North Liberty, Iowa. Since starting in real estate in 2018, our team has had the privilege of helping more than 400 families achieve their real estate goals throughout North Liberty, Johnson County, Linn County, and surrounding Eastern Iowa communities.

I specialize in helping first-time homebuyers, and education is at the heart of how I work. I love taking someone who may know absolutely nothing about buying a home and helping them understand financing, expenses, inspections, contracts, negotiations, and what to expect from beginning to end. I’m patient, analytical, thorough, and straightforward. So, if I think you’re looking at a bad house, I’m going to tell you. My goal isn’t to sell you a house. It’s to help you find the right home, make confident decisions, and have some fun along the way.

I also serve as the lead listing agent and listing manager for Encompass Real Estate Group, helping sellers strategically prepare, price, present, market, and negotiate the sale of their homes.

Beyond working with clients, I teach real estate at my Keller Williams market center, serve on both the Associate Leadership Council and Keller Williams International Associate Leadership Council, and volunteer with real estate organizations at the local and state levels. Community service is also incredibly important to me, including years of volunteering in disaster-relief and recovery efforts.

North Liberty is home. I live here, work here, and my office is here, while I continue to serve clients throughout Johnson County, Linn County, and surrounding communities.

At the end of the day, my philosophy is simple: I love helping people. I just happen to run a real estate team.
